How GROEBNER Gives Back

Giving back can look a lot of different ways.

It might mean packing meals with coworkers, helping someone tackle fall yardwork, or volunteering each week for a cause close to home.

GROEBNER team members support their communities in all these ways and more. Relationships have always mattered to GROEBNER. That includes the customers and partners we work with every day, but it also includes the communities where our team members live and work.

GROEBNER Gives BackMaking Time to Give Back

Finding time to volunteer isn't always easy when work, family, and everyday responsibilities fill the calendar. GROEBNER gives each team member Volunteer Time Off (VTO) every year to support something that matters to them.

Team members have used that time to drive young people to community service projects, care for rescued horses, and lend a hand at their children’s schools, among other activities.

That's what we like about VTO. Our team gets to decide where their time can make a difference.

Some volunteer projects give us a chance to pitch in together as a team, too.

Team members have packed meals for children in need, helped homeowners with fall cleanup, collected school supplies, and assembled birthday cake kits for local food pantries.

The projects change, but the idea stays pretty simple. We get to work alongside one another, help someone else, and spend a little time doing something good together.

Giving Back on Their Own Time

VTO and team volunteer days only tell part of the story.

GROEBNER team members also give their own time throughout the year. They support young people with disabilities, teach faith formation classes, care for rescue and shelter animals, help schools raise funds, serve on committees, and volunteer with community organizations.

Some help a few times a year. Others show up every week, year after year.

These commitments reflect the people, causes, and communities that matter to them. Much of that work happens quietly, but it deserves recognition.

Supporting Community Causes

GROEBNER also contributes financially to community organizations, including customer fundraisers and causes important to the communities they serve.

One of our ongoing community relationships supports a Minnesota organization that helps people living with mental health challenges with housing, employment, and other resources. Our involvement has included financial contributions, hands-on projects from our team, and leadership service on the organization's board.

GROEBNER leadership also gives back through the GROEBNER Family Foundation. The Foundation supports causes such as children and education, mental health, nature and park restoration, and veterans and their families.

The Same Values, Wherever We Are

GROEBNER's core values – Considerate, Collaborative, Committed, Compelled, Credible – guide how we work with customers, partners, and one another. That same care and sense of responsibility carry into our communities through the ways our team members give back, together and on their own.

You may know GROEBNER for natural gas products, training, service, and support. Behind that work are people who care about their relationships, their communities, and showing up when they can make a difference.

That's another part of who GROEBNER is.
