GROEBNER is proud to announce that Jana Darling, Director of Customer Service, has been selected to join the MEA Energetic Women Leadership Board. This honor highlights both Jana and GROEBNER’s dedication to advancing women in the energy industry and GROEBNER’s ongoing commitment to leadership, diversity, and professional growth.
About MEA and Energetic Women
Founded more than 120 years ago, the MEA Energy Association (MEA) supports the professionals who deliver electricity and natural gas in the country. Through education, leadership development, and industry connections, MEA continues to improve safety and efficiency for utilities, contractors, and suppliers.
Within MEA, Energetic Women focuses specifically on preparing women in operations and engineering for leadership roles. Its mission is to promote, support, connect, and recognize leaders to build a stronger and more diverse future in energy. Each year, the Energetic Women Conference brings together hundreds of leaders to share insights, build connections, and inspire growth. The 2026 conference will take place in Minneapolis, MN, near GROEBNER’s headquarters.
Jana’s Journey in the Natural Gas Industry
With 22 years of experience in the natural gas industry, Jana has built her career around deep expertise, service, and collaboration. She first attended an Energetic Women conference in 2012 and has since participated in six, including the virtual conference in 2021. Her longstanding involvement with MEA also includes years of service on the MEA Purchasing and Supply Chain Committee.
Her extensive industry experience, leadership contributions, and active engagement with MEA programs positioned her as a standout candidate on this year’s leadership board.
“I believe my qualifiers were my years of experience, my active involvement with MEA committees, and the unique perspective I bring as a supply partner,” said Jana. “Energetic Women has always been one of the most impactful conferences I’ve attended, and it’s near and dear to me because it focuses entirely on the growth and development of women—not just in energy, but in leadership overall,” Jana Darling said.
Leadership Perspective from GROEBNER
For GROEBNER, Jana’s appointment is both a point of pride and an opportunity to contribute to the broader industry conversation.
“We are incredibly proud of Jana for being recognized in this way,” said Carissa Skorczewski, President of GROEBNER. “Her leadership and dedication reflect the values we hold as a company. Having her voice on the Energetic Women board strengthens the energy industry as a whole by ensuring diverse perspectives are shaping its future.”
Continuing the Commitment
Jana’s selection to the MEA Energetic Women Leadership Board reflects her personal dedication and GROEBNER’s belief in the importance of empowering leaders. As the 2026 conference approaches in Minneapolis, GROEBNER looks forward to celebrating the continued growth and impact of women in energy leadership.
