Fully welded, machined carbon steel full port ball valves designed with a weld end and a threaded end that accepts a special BALLOTAP threaded flange for use in tapping under pressure of natural gas pipelines. The valve works with all common drilling and tapping machines currently on the market. O-ring seal in the flange allows for pressure testing of the weld before tapping. The hot tap valve comes equipped with stainless steel balls, stem standard, locking plate with POWERSTOPPS to prevent overturning, seats of 25% carbonized PTFE rated to 20° F, zinc-coated stem bearings, and is 2” square nut operated.
